WHAT DOES AN E.P.I.K. PROGRAM LOOK LIKE?

The E.P.I.K. Holiday Programs are designed to be inclusive, multi-disciplinary, skill-building and enjoyable! We offer outdoor activities for those who wish to be moving, creative projects for those who like to express themselves and thought-provoking challenges for those who have an inquisitive mind. We cater for students who may join us for a day or more, and for those who need to be at home.

If you are joining us for our face-to-face programs live at Picnic Point or Hodgson Vale, you may expect a FULL day of scheduled activities. We start the day by getting to know each other and the rules then set a routine of 45 minute sessions followed by 15 minute breaks. We'll have special guests who will offer activities such as karate and drumming after our lunch breaks.

Participants may choose on the day what they wish to do and are welcome to explore multiple options throughout the day.

The 2020 January E.P.I.K. Holiday Program features:

*   Music and vocal workshops for the young musicians

*   Theatre, character development and drama games for the performers

*   Construction challenges for the engineers of tomorrow

*   Skills-based tennis games and drills for our future tennis stars

*   Robotics with Bee-Bot challenges, Sphero programming and LEGO EV3

*   Boardgames to enhance strategic thinking (e.g. chess, Settlers of Catan, Stratego)

*   Crazy Science experiments to engage the inquisitive minds

For our participants who are unable to join us live, but will engage at home, Mrs Bee will superbly guide you through the many options and provide additional support, should you need it. All activities have be designed with busy parents in mind, so you can expect that activities will keep the kids busy and engaged without needing much of your input. Activities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Science Kits
  • Coding Course
  • Mega Maths Minds challenges
  • MaKey MaKey madness
